Meg McElroy, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Meg McElroy

I am a board-certified Physician Assistant with more than 12 years of experience in functional and integrative medicine. I began my career in 2011 as a PA-C in orthopedic surgery, then left the hospital setting in 2014 to pursue my passion for health and wellness. Since then I have worked in metabolic and lifestyle medicine, corporate wellness, concierge functional medicine, and IV nutrient therapy, and co-launched my own practice before joining Parsley Health. My approach to practicing functional medicine involves being a "health detective" and utilizing strategic medicine—identifying patterns that may be negatively impacting optimal health or putting someone at risk for a medical problem in the future, with the goal of decreasing overwhelm and improving everyday function.

My Approach to Care
After many years of experience in Functional Medicine, I have learned that simple steps are often most effective at improving health. We are intended to thrive, but we don't have to have "perfect," strict diets and a long list of supplements to do so! There is so much information at our fingertips; I see my role as being able to filter out the "noise," strategically prioritize next steps, and simplify the overwhelm. True wellness goes beyond pills, lifestyle changes, and procedures—it requires active participation. Health iis a lifelong journey of daily choices and adapting to the ever-changing world around us. It may take time and patience, but I never give up on finding ways to help my members feel better.
