Board-certified clinicians
Trained in both conventional and functional medicine, our providers combine clinical rigor with root-cause care.
Functional nutrition coaching
Nutrition coaching is integrated into the care model, so you have support in making lasting lifestyle changes.
Advanced lab testing
We leverage advanced biomarker testing to uncover patterns and trends that inform our care approach.
Longer provider visits
Each visit is 30 or 60 minutes long, giving you and your clinician more time to dig deeper and find solutions.
Whole-person care
Your clinician tailors a care plan to you: covering nutrition, exercise, stress management, supplements, and prescription medications, as needed.
"I have been to Functional Medicine practitioners in the past, but this is the first place to accept insurance! It finally makes this kind of holistic, root cause medicine financially achievable!"

Insurance plan
Like any other medical provider, we bill back each visit with your clinician to your insurance provider. Because our clinicians are specialists, we cannot bill as preventative care. Costs vary by plan — deductible and copays apply.

Out of pocket
Parsley gives you access to specialty tests, such as: Prenuvo, DEXA, Cleerly, DUTCH, Genova, and more. These are typically not covered by insurance, and average ~$400 each plus an administrative fee.

PPO · Deductible met
Catherine was on a PPO plan and met her deductible earlier in the year — leaving her responsible for only copays and coinsurance.
PPO · Deductible not met
Penelope was on a PPO plan and had not met her deductible when she joined, so her initial labs were fully out-of-pocket until she reached it.
High-deductible plan · Deductible not met
Jacob is on a high-deductible plan, which he had not met when he joined. At first, he was responsible for out-of-pocket costs at his insurance providers' brokered rates. Once he met his deductible, his coinsurance covered 70% of his remaining care.
Cash-pay, Medicare, or Medicaid
Alex's insurance coverage was not accepted by Parsley, but he decided to join Complete Care as a self-pay member. He was still able to use his insurance for labs and prescription medication, though.
This is the amount you pay out of pocket for covered care before your insurance provider starts contributing. It resets every policy year. Until you hit that number, you're responsible for the full cost of medical services.
Already met your deductible? If a surgery, a birth, or another high-cost year has already put you past your deductible, your medical visits and labs are typically covered at your plan's coinsurance rate from your first day as a member.

Yes — Parsley is the first functional medicine provider to accept insurance nationwide for our care membership. Parsley works with many major insurance plans to cover medical visits. There is still a membership fee that covers access to your care team, coordination, and ongoing support. We help you check coverage before you get started.
