Charity Kates, MD

Dr. Charity Kates is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician and current contractor at Parsley Health. She received her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She had her own personal medical experience that spurred her interest in learning more holistic means of care and so became trained and certified in Functional Medicine by the Institute of Functional Medicine. She has previously worked as a Medical Director of an office with Novant Health, and most recently was a Provider with a physician group under Atrium Health. She has been recognized by the National Committee on Quality Assurance for both Patient-Centered Medical Home Level 3 certification and for Diabetes Management. She believes in distributing health information in a clear, personable manner that supports the patient’s health journey. She has committed her life to helping people live healthier lives, and has practiced medicine for over 10 years.
