Each visit and unlimited messaging with your care team are covered by your Parsley membership fee. Some of this fee may be reimbursed by your insurance company. We also encourage our members to use insurance for costs outside of membership including lab tests, prescriptions, and supplements.

As part of your Parsley membership, your care manager helps you have an informed conversation with your insurance provider—like which billable codes to use.

Navigating labs

When you choose to have a test done, your care manager will help find a lab nearby that best fits your insurance and budget.

Making billing easier

Your care manager takes the paperwork out of paperwork. After a test or medical visit, they put everything together for you to give to your insurance provider—all you do is hit send.

Advanced Testing

You and your Care Team decide what advanced tests are right for you based on your health. Blood work is most often covered by insurance. Any specialty tests will either be covered by insurance or are out of pocket. We’ll always spell out costs upfront before you decide and customize based on your budget.

Prescriptions and Supplements

Your prescriptions are typically covered by your insurance and filled at your local pharmacy. If your doctor recommends supplements, you may be able to use FSA/HSA benefits to cover your costs. Your membership also gives you 20% off purchases at our supplements store.

Is Parsley Health covered by insurance?

We are not in-network with insurance plans at this time, but you can use out-of-network benefits to pay for your membership. Members with out-of-network coverage are typically reimbursed for 40-70% of the membership cost.

Can I use FSA, HSA, or insurance?

Yes, you can use an FSA or HSA for your visits with us. Our care may be covered by your insurance provider as out-of-network medical care — many members get up to 70% reimbursed.

Do I need health insurance if I have a Parsley Health membership?

A Parsley Health membership does not replace health insurance. We advise all members to maintain a separate health insurance plan of their choosing. For blood work, insurance frequently offers full coverage. Please also note that the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) includes a requirement that all U.S. citizens purchase health insurance. A Parsley Health membership does not meet this requirement.
