The Fellowship.

Our 8 week full time (12-week part time) on-site clinical functional medicine fellowship is a paid position with the opportunity to learn this advanced approach to primary care in an applied clinical setting.

You will work side-by-side with our highly credential physicians who have trained in internal medicine, family medicine or pediatrics at top academic institutions, and who have also trained in functional medicine with the Institute for Functional Medicine, a Cleveland Clinic affiliate.

How it works.

The Opportunity – Get Paid to Learn.

  • Work alongside top functional primary care physicians in daily practice.
  • Train in functional lab test interpretation – from next-generation lipids, genomics and microbiome assessments to functional hormone analysis and environmental toxin screening.
  • Get expertise in applied clinical nutrition protocols including Autoimmune Paleo, Ketogenic, Elimination Diets and Plant-Based Paleo.
  • Gain exposure to proven clinical nutraceutical supplement protocols including herbal, mineral and nutrient based therapeutics for autoimmune, heart health and GI conditions.
  • Train in the role of mental health, positive stress management, and physical activity in an applied primary care setting.
  • Have the opportunity to interact with patients complicated chronic illness and support their journey.
    Work side by side with highly trained health coaches and learn the physician-coach model in practice.
  • Assist in clinical research analysis in collaboration our data scientists and engineers.
  • Learn to conduct an initial functional health assessment and follow up visit in the Parsley Health model.

For top candidates the fellowship’s conclusion may result in an opportunity for a part-time or full-time position at Parsley Health.

Your Credentials

  • MD or DO in internal medicine, family medicine or pediatrics.
  • Board certified or board-eligible with completed residency training.
  • Ability to travel in person to NYC, SF or LA for training.
  • Strong interest in functional medicine, integrative medicine, lifestyle medicine, new models of care.
  • Personal commitment to excellence and track record of forming strong therapeutic patient relationships.

Our approach has shown an 86% reduction in the need for pharmaceutical drugs and 80-90% improvements or resolution of certain chronic conditions including hormone imbalance and infertility, autoimmune conditions, GI disorders and mental health conditions like anxiety and depression.

Our care reverses chronic disease and reduces the need for specialists, while at the same time putting primary care doctors where they belong – at the center of a patient’s’ health journey, with a strong longitudinal relationship and a 360 support team.
